Dear Friends and supporters,

I am writing to you to ask for help for the family of PFC.Scott Eiswert. Scott was a member of the TN National Guard who served his country in Iraq. Like many soldiers Scott returned home from combat with many demons. He had PTSD and reached out for help but never got it. Recently Scott was alerted that his unit was to return to Iraq. This all became to much for him and on May 16th, 2008 Scott committed suicide. He shot himself in his home and left behind his devastated wife Tracy and their three beautiful little girls. Unfortunately this has become all to common. Tracy and her girls have been left with nothing and are fighting to get what little benefits the government may have to offer. There are bills to pay including funeral costs. Please help us honor Scott by taking care of his family.

A Memorial Fund has been set up and all monies donated will go directly to this shattered family. Please give if you can. Every little bit will go a long way to help comfort and heal the Eiswerts. Please visit the web site dedicated to the Eiswert family. http://Eiswert.Family.tripod.com  The family asks that you spread awareness, talk to people in your community about PTSD. Lets not let this happen to another family. Please take the time to visit the web site and sign the guest book. Lets show Tracy and her girls that they are not alone! You may contact us or send messages to the family via e-mail at Eiswert_Family_Fund@yahoo.com.

  1. That’s a depressing story. I guess you think of these heroes as such strong guys that it’s a shock to realize that they’re all too human and in need of some real care. It must be a hellish existence over there. Thanks for letting us know about this, Darren.
