The Teflon President (or Obama Lied, America Died)

I was on another blog the other day and spotted a new “nick name for our peerless leader!  We should all  call him “The Teflon President,” because in the American drive-by media … absolutely nothing sticks to him.

I seem to remember that during the 2008 presidential election, Barack Obama promised to lead the most transparent administration in U.S. history.  However, he has failed to deliver on his promise.  In fact, quite the opposite is true.  The anointed One’s administration’s approach to governing is to:  Choose or create a problem, stridently proclaim the urgent need to address it, propose hurried legislation, and then try to ram it through Congress before congress or people have a chance to read it or appreciate the exact effect it will have on the nation.

Remember the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac bailout? The truth is that the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 was a democratic bill signed by Jimmy Carter and enhanced by Bill Clinton (who had the Justice Department rewrite it).  Put in the hands of crooks like  Barney Frank, Democrat  and Chris Dodd, Democrat (who should both be sharing a cell with Jack Abramoff);  it forced banks to make mortgage loans to people who simply could not afford them …. or face government sanctions and violent protests by ACORN members outside their banking offices.   So … while banks are not without blame for the housing market collapse , the lion’s share of the blame truthfully belongs to the Democrats.  Well, it now seems the U.S. government’s mortgage monster is again in trouble. Fannie Mae lost money in the fourth quarter and is asking the federal government for nearly $4.6 billion in aid to cover its deficit.  But never fear … Obama says the economy is improving!

Recently, Obama gave a speech at an SEIU (another flavor of ACORN) gathering where he raised $80,000,000 for his campaign fund.  Amid cheers and praises and loud chants of ”YES WE CAN’” , Obama spewed forth a record number of lies and half-truths!  Obama knows many Americans will not put forth any effort to check his claims and will just accept them as fact because he spoke them.  After all, he is the Chosen One … descended from on High to leads us to Amertopia, where we are all equally miserable and slaves to an Omniscient, Omnipotent Government (the  liberal left’s PC version of God).  Obama is really very skilful at telling lies and half-truths that sound good enough to be true.   After all, the Cool Aid drinkers will believe anything he spews forth and too many others are just too plain lazy to check the facts! You have to dig a little deeper to get at the truth and that takes work … something the Obama administration discourages regularly. 

And lo and behold, … our Messiah has finally gotten around to coming up with a budget (Can you say … “re-election year”); which, much to my surprise, does not cut any real spending …. and in fact, increases our deficit spending and raises all sorts of taxes (both direct and indirect).  Oh … and did I mention that the interest on my student loans (taken over by Obama’s administration) is about to double … from 3.2% to 6.4%!  Yay!  I am not sure which makes me happier …. that … or $6-a-gallon gasoline!   Anyway, here are some prime examples from Obama’s proposed budget to chew on:

Obama Budget Claim: $850 billion in savings from ending wars. $230 billion of those savings will be used on highways.

The Fact:  There is no direct peace savings. The money that was used for the wars was borrowed money.  If they are to spend it on something else (assuming they can end the wars) they would have to continue to borrow money.

Obama Budget Claim: Taxes on the rich will be increased, breaks for the oil and gas industry’s will end, some spending programs the president is willing to sacrifice, will be cut.

The Fact: There has been no tax increases passed, and any effort to do so will be inevitably blocked by republicans. As it stands right now, the “tax the rich” narrative is nothing more then a campaign promise if he gets re-elected.

Obama Budget Claim: The U.S. will see good GDP growth. The Budget predicts that it will reach 4 percent in 2014 and 4.2 in 2015.

The Fact: Basing a budget on speculative growth is irresponsible. Looking back, the White House GDP projection for 2011 was 2.7 percent. It was actually 1.7 falling a percentage point. For 2012, the White House at first projected 3.6 percent growth, but has since been lowered to 3 percent.  Several reputable firms such as IHS Global Insight have their projections around the 2 – 2.1 percent range. Their record of past projections have been much stronger then the White House’s speculation.

Considering that 2012 is an election year, we could guess that the Obama budget would contain some wild promises, but the released budget was chock full of stretched promises based on non-existent savings.

On Sunday, February 12, 2012, Obama sent his Chief of Staff, Jack Lew, out to demonize the Republican Party as a smoke screen when people began asking why his administration had not passed a budget since his election.   Jack Lew lied to every single mainstream media outlet that would welcome his lies.  And not ONE network host challenged his bold-faced lies!

From NBC‘s Meet the Press, Sunday, February 12, 2012:

MR. GREGORY: So the leadership deficit in Washington has had an impact on what business does in America and certainly our economic outlook. Here’s a stat that a lot of people may not know, but it’s pretty striking. The number of days since Senate Democrats passed a budget is 1,019. Can you just explain as a former budget director, how do you fund the government when there’s no budget?

MR. LEW: Well, you know, one of the things about the United States Senate that I think the American people have realized is that it takes 60, not 50 votes to pass something. And there has been Republican opposition to anything that Senate Democrats have tried to do. So it, it is a challenge in the United States Senate to pass legislation when there’s not that willingness to work together. Congress didn’t do a great job last year. It, it, it drove right to the edge of a cliff on occasion after occasion. I actually think it’s unfair to blame the United States Senate for that. A lot of that was because of the extreme, you know, conservative approach taken by House Republicans.

From  CNN‘s State of the Union that same day:

CROWLEY:  I know we’ll want to talk about the tax hikes in a second, but I want to read for our viewers something that Senator Harry Reid, the Democratic majority leader in the U.S. Senate, who said, we do not need to bring a budget to the floor this year.  It’s done.  We don’t need to do it, talking about last year’s two-year agreement and saying that, you know, so it’s already done.
 
This budget, I can assure you and you know, because you’ve been in this town for a long time, is going to be attacked as a political document.  This is a budget that promises 2 million more jobs if it’s passed, so that come September the president can go out there and say, well, if they’d only passed by budget, we’d have 2 million more jobs, but those darn Republicans are standing in my way, when, in fact, even the Democratic leader in the Senate says, you know what, we don’t need a budget.
 
LEW:  Well, let’s be clear.  What Senator Reid is talking about is a fairly narrow point.  In order for the Senate to do its annual work on appropriation bills, they need to pass a certain piece of legislation which sets a limit.  They did that last year.  That’s what he’s talking about.
 
He’s not saying that they shouldn’t pass a budget.  But we also need to be honest.  You can’t pass a budget in the Senate of the United States without 60 votes, and you can’t get 60 votes without bipartisan support.  So unless Republicans…

So, what is the real truth?

As Politifact CLEARLYpoints out:

Most business in the Senate is subject to filibustering — that is, actions, or even just threats, to talk a bill to death. Filibusters can be overcome by what’s known as a “cloture” vote that shuts off debate and moves a measure toward final consideration. For the Senate to agree to cloture requires 60 votes — a high threshold that many Senate majorities are unable to muster on controversial votes (and, increasingly, even on relatively uncontroversial votes).

However, the filibuster cannot be used to block a budget resolution. That’s because the Budget Act sets out a specific amount of time for debate in the Senate — 50 hours. If a specific amount of debate time is enshrined in the controlling statute, the filibuster is moot. So a simple majority — not 60 votes — is all that’s required to pass a budget resolution.

Indeed, passing a budget resolution by at least 60 votes has become increasingly rare in recent years, according to CRS data. Since 1994, the Senate vote has exceeded that vote threshold just three times, either in the initial vote or on a subsequent vote in which lawmakers consider an identical House-Senate version of the resolution.

More common in recent years are votes where 51 was enough to prevail. In 2009, the Senate even passed the final budget resolution by a 48-45 margin.

“The budget resolution vote is always a partisan affair, and rarely does it gain any minority party support,” said Steve Ellis, a vice president at Taxpayers for Common Sense.

So Lew is clearly wrong to say that “you can’t pass a budget in the Senate of the United States without 60 votes.” As a longtime senior official at OMB and other federal agencies, he should have known better.

The truth is that you need 51 votes to pass a budget.  The Democrat Party currently has 53 votes in the Senate.  When Obama took over, they had a filibuster-proof Senate and they could have passed ANY budget they wanted.  You need to remember that just last year, Obama submitted a budget to a Senate under the control of his own party.  It was such an abject disgrace that it went down 97-0 without a SINGLE Senator voting for it.

I know,  I know.  That was the Republicans Party’s fault, too.

So … by the way …. do high gas prices have you bummed?  Are you stressing over the strain on you already overburdened wallet?

No need to  worry!!  The Anointed One, President Obama, is coming to save you.  Can I get a “YES HE CAN!  YES HE CAN!”    I knew I could!!

Do you remember?   It was not to long ago that the Anointed One proclaimed that just periodically checking your tire pressure will help you save money on as!  

“Simple things you can do to save gas.  Make sure that your tires are inflated properly.  And getting regular tune ups.”

 So next time your feeling down because you can’t pay those skyrocketing gas price, remember that “YES YOU CAN” … and you will … unless we elect a President who will pave the way for increasing the exploration and drilling for America’s abundant supply of fossil fuels, decrease America’s dependence on foreign oil, build “Keystone” pipe lines, and yes, RESPONSIBLY investigate alternative energy. 

However,  if we get four more years of nonsense and suggestions that consumers  “check your tire pressure;” while  Obama gives more money to companies Solyndra to flush down the toilet;  then we’re pretty much screwed.

Now, let me  be completely honest!  For America, (as true patriotic, conservative American’s love it) to survive; we must defeat  Obama and his  party of pathological socialist liars in 2012.  Whoever is the Republican nominee must be supported by supporters of the other candidates.  And … to finish Jack Lew’s earlier interrupted sentence, unless Republicans can grow a set of balls … and rise up and hold the Democrats responsible for all of their vicious lies, this nation is doomed.

Yet Another Obama Fantasy

Despite statements put out by the Obama administration and the liberal media‘s info-chicks, the economy is not recovering. A recent gallop poll show unemployment rose to 9%. The rate for the under-employed (those working part-time but want full-time employment) is 10%.

Combining the two rates gives us a realistic unemployment rate of 19%.  This is the number that would have been reported until Obama changed how the government counts unemployment to make his numbers appear better than they are.

Hmmmm!  And … how about those who’s unemployment benefits have run out and have simply given up on finding a job?  They aren’t counted anymore either!

Keep drinking the Cool Aid … like a bunch of drunken rats going down with the ship!

Gas Prices Soaring Due to Seagulls!

Since our anointed Messiah, the mighty Barack Obama, bravely bowed to the pressure of radical tree-huggers in the EPA and quashed the Keystone Oil Pipeline deal with Canada … it looks like China (who will most certainly refine and burn Canadian oil in a much more environmentally friendly manner than the U.S. would have) is going to get that oil.

Iran is close to going nuclear, rattling its scimitars, and threatening to block the Straits of Hormuz, the most important oil transit channel in the world. Meanwhile, Obama seems intent on vacationing … while pretending the current Iranian President and his reasonable radical Islamic administration are no threat to the U.S. or its ally Israel (that evil perpetrator of the Holocaust myth).

Obama’s enlightened view that Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt, Syria, Venezuela, and North Korea are all simply misunderstood … and would play nice if the U.S.  would only just cripple its military and negotiate from a position of  weakness … makes me feel so much safer.

In fact, I am so very relieved to hear this!  Why you might ask?  Because that then gives Obama’s administration much more time to take on the really important issues like:

  • suing states for trying to protect their citizens from illegal immigrants who run drugs, humans, and weapons (paid for by Eric Holder) across our southern border;
  • finding “better” ways to count the number of unemployed in America so his numbers don’t look so bad in an election year;
  • and most importantly… providing all Catholic woman mandatory free condoms, abortions, and morning after pill insurance coverage whether they want it, will use it, or not.

I mean after all, why should it matter to pro-lifers and/or Christians that their tax dollars are being used to fund abortions!?  How closed-minded of us!

You know, I am afraid I must admit that I simply did not know that condoms were so darned expensive and so hard to get.  What was I thinking?!   Those must all be empty condom boxes and packages on the drug store shelves and behind the convenient store counters!  Have the public elementary schools run out of the free condoms they distribute by the handfuls to our children?  That’s simply horrible!  Are all those condom vending machines in truck stop men’s rooms empty?  Maybe Obama should issue an executive order mandating a new Truck Stop Men’s Room Czar and fund the associated bureaucracy? He could charge it with enforcing regulations mandating that trucks stops make sure these condom vending machines are always full, and that they are also available in the lady’s room (for equal rights), at the fuel pump islands, and in the trucker’s gift emporium next to the fuzzy steering wheel covers.  They could even put free condom and morning after pill vending machines in all our public schools starting in Kindergarten!  Wouldn’t that be swell!?

Meanwhile, gas prices are steadily climbing (locally up .03 cents per gallon as of yesterday) and they are estimated to go above $5 per gallon by summer. I heard yesterday that they are already paying $5 a gallon in some areas of California.  I wonder who, or what, Obama and his cronies will blame this on, because (despite the fact that Obama wants to crush oil companies and even stated during his 2008 campaign that he likes higher oil prices as long as they increase slowly); this will hurt his current  re-election bid.  He has to find something or someone to blame!  Hmmm!  Can he still get away with blaming it on George W. Bush, or maybe the Arab Spring turned to Summer, the Tea Party, a lazy do-nothing congress, or perhaps ATM machines!

No wait … I know!  He can blame it on seagull migrations!!  Yeah, that’s the ticket!  After all, it really could work!  Obama’s mainstream-media lap-dogs will gleefully run with the story (and can probably even find a way to blame seagull migrations on the Tea Party, the Catholic Church, and conservative republicans).  Perhaps most importantly, however, all the cool-aid drinkers will swallow it hook, line, and sinker. Obama’s newest excuse might even get discussed on “The View” with dissenting views being soundly, vigorously, and vulgarly ridiculed by the likes of Whoopee Goldberg and Joy Behar!!  Perhaps Janeane Garofalo and  Bill Maher will join in!

After all!  Facts be damned … if the anointed One has spoken it  … it must be so!

Can Anyone Else See Obama Smiling …..?

Have you forgotten already? Or … do you remember Solyndra and Obama’s enlightened administration granting them a $528 million stimulus loan despite the OMB’s warning Solyndra would go bankrupt.  OMB even got the date right!

And … do you remember Beacon Power who got a $43 million loan guarantee from Obama.  Well, they also went bankrupt.

Now we have Ener1, who got a $118 million grant from Obama … and guess what … they filed for bankruptcy Thursday.

Do you see a pattern emerging here?  All three company were Obama bundlers or supporters!  All got millions of tax payer’s dollars as Obama touted them as leaders of the new clean and green energy industry his administration will “not walk away from!”  Well, they got the green and then they cleaned up … but the taxpayers got screwed!

This is the change you cool-aid drinkers voted for!   Crony-capitalism!  Inept and corrupt leadership! Let’s see … what else:

  • New home purchases fell in 2011 … making it the worst year for home sales in U.S history … despite Obama’s claims.
  • Obama’s new Labor Board chief is going to push union organizing rules!  No surprise here!
  • How about the 36 Obama aides who owe $833,000 in back taxes.  Tim Geithner would be so proud!
  • Did anyone else listen to Obama’s State of the Union speech’s key points … exactly the same as 2010 … slightly different wording.  Yet no improvement … why?  Because he is an arrogant, corrupt, anti-American, lead -from-behind fraud who is enjoying his many $4 million vacations and playing endless golf games at tax payer cost!  No wonder he wants to raise taxes!!

And what is happening with our conservative movement now? Why is everyone ganging up on Newt Gingrich and calling him unstable, a non-conservative, and an opponent of President Reagan’s policies, etc?  The truth is the Republican’s wouldn’t have been able to take back the House in the 90′s without Newt.  So why is he now being trashed so vehemently?  I will tell you why!  It is because the republican establishment has decided it wants to have Mitt Romney, a genuine phony conservative, as its candidate.

Romney, for his part, is trying to pretend he is not part of the Republican Establishment and is doing whatever he can to smear Newt by running dishonest negative campaign ads (Oops, I mean ads his Super PAC is running!).

They even came up with a bogus video to portray Gingrich bashing Reagan!

Let’s look at some real facts, shall we:

The charge that Newt’s resigned as Speaker of the House in disgrace is a smoke screen. He did resign and pay some fines for supposedly miss-classifying a college course he taught as tax exempt.  The charge was leveled at Gingrich as a last ditch effort by a political opponent Gingrich was defeating in an election. Nobody likes to remember that after Gingrich resigned … a thorough investigation by the IRS determined that Newt Gingrich actually did nothing wrong.

Two former members of Ronald Reagan’s political machine, Mark Levine and Jeffery Lord, have both gone on record as saying the assertions that Gingrich was a problem for President Reagan and not a Reaganite conservative are, simply put, CRAP!  If Gingrich had been as much a problem as Romney and others portray, he would most certainly have been mentioned in Reagan’s autobiography more than once.  These two guys were there!  They were in the meetings!  And they both say Gingrich was a strong Reagan supporter and a key team player.

If Gingrich were not, would First Lady Nancy Reagan, a lady of remarkable strength and personal integrity who strongly supported her husband, have praised Gingrich when speaking at the 1995 Goldwater Institute Dinner by saying:

“They believed that government should simply get out of the way. Ronnie and Barry fought for those principles, which, today, have been overwhelmingly embraced,” Reagan said. “So they must have done something right. Just take a look at the extraordinary men and women who make up the 104th Congress and of course its distinguished speaker, Newt Gingrich. The dramatic movement of 1995 is an outgrowth of a much earlier crusade that goes back half a century. Barry Goldwater handed the torch to Ronnie, and, in turn, Ronnie turned that torch over to Newt and the Republican members of Congress to keep that dream alive.”

The House, under Gingrich’s leadership did balance the budget 4 times, reformed Welfare under Bill Clinton, and did create strong economic growth and created over 11 million jobs.  Can Mitt say anything close to that?

And what about Mitt Romney?  Let’s look at a few more facts:

  • Romney’s own adviser Norm Coleman said that they wouldn’t be appealing Obamacare entirely.  Why?
  • In 1994, Mitt Romney did his level best to distance himself from President Reagan, calling himself an independent.
  • In 2002, when running for Governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney clearly stated that he is not a partisan Republican and that his views were progressive.

Ron Paul is no saint in this picture either.  Remember when he resigned from the Republican Party in 1987, and actually did bash President Reagan saying:

If Ronald Reagan couldn’t or wouldn’t balance the budget, which Republican leader on the horizon can we possibly expect to do so? There is no credibility left for the Republican Party as a force to reduce the size of government. That is the message of the Reagan years.

I conclude that one must look to other avenues if a successful effort is ever to be achieved in reversing America’s direction.

I therefore resign my membership in the Republican Party and enclose my membership card.

I would really like to see the Republican candidates get beyond these personal attacks and negative ads, and concentrate on the issues.  If you go to their respective websites, they all have plans to fix the economy, or reform the tax laws, etc. posted there.  Why has no debate “monitor” asked the candidates about these plans?  So Gingrich made money selling his expertise?  So Romney is rich?  So what?  All the candidates have their flaws.  There is no perfect candidate out there!  Any one of these potential candidates would be better than Obama!!

Conservatives have to concentrate on one thing!  Defeating Obama!!!  Whichever candidate ends up winning the nomination will need the REAL SUPPORT of the other candidates and their supporters to beat Obama.  If this gets too nasty, and they take their toys and go home … Obama will win re-election.  In fact, I think that is what he is banking on!  America, as conservative know and love it, cannot survive four more years of Obama!

All Praise Obama’s Recipe for Disaster

It is hard to imagine an administration that is so corrupt, so incompetent, so dishonest, and so intent on getting re-elected at any cost than Obama’s!  Obama is spending  $4 million to vacation in Hawaii ( and yes, Michelle is travelling on a separate flight with her entourage), while still pushing his class-warfare mantra of “tax the rich).   Again, I ask the same old question. What gives liberals the right to steal  from those who have worked hard and succeeded and give it to those have not; at least without first doing all it can to rein in wasteful government spending?   

What wasteful spending you might ask?  Well, here are a few examples of the financial fiasco that is Barack Obama’s administration.

  • The U.S. gave China $17.8 million for economic development and social services.  Of course, we first borrowed the money from China.  So we are paying interest on money we borrowed from China to give to China?  Even you liberals ought to see the stupidity in that transaction.

That should be enough by itself, but here are a few more:

  • $100,000 to fund a study of why chimpanzees fling their feces (maybe because they can … Duh!).
  • $10 million was spent to produce a version of Sesame Street for Pakistan (Why?).
  • $75,000 to promote awareness about the role Michigan plays in producing Christmas trees & poinsettias (Just don’t display any of them on public property … you may get arrested).
  • $15.3 million for one of the infamous Bridges to Nowhere in Alaska (No wonder Sarah resigned as governor!).
  • $113,227 for a video game preserve in New York (I was unaware video games were endangered).
  • $35 million for political party conventions in 2012.
  • $550,000 for a documentary about how rock music contributed to the collapse of the Soviet Union.
  • $48,700 for the 2nd annual Hawaii Chocolate Festival to promote Hawaii’s chocolate industry (The government has to convince people to by their chocolate … must be pretty bad chocolate!).
  • $350,000 to support an International Art Exhibition in Venice, Italy (Great, but not their job.)
  • $765,825 to study how college students use mobile devices for social networking (Really?)

And my personal fav:

  • $765,828 to subsidize “pancakes for yuppies” in the nation’s capital (Can you say “blatant vote buying?” I knew you could!).

As long as Obama, Pelosi, Biden, and Reid are wasting (oops … my bad; spending) taxpayer money like this … they have no justification to raise taxes on anybody!!!

On a side note: 

We finally have peace in Iraq thanks to the brilliant leadership of our Messiah and peerless leader, the 4th greatest president in the history of our nation, Barack Obama.  The troops are home and all is well.  Except we just created a power vacuum in Iraq that Iran will be extremely happy to fill. 

A clue for the clueless: This morning, a series of coordinated bomb explosions in Baghdad killed at least 63 and injured perhaps 185 more.  These were car bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). 

This morning’s carnage is clearly an effort by radical Islamists backed by Iran (who manufactures most of the IDEs by the way) to destabilize and overturn Iraq’s fragile democratic government. Iraq’s fragile democracy is on its own; now only protected by a fledgling national security force. 

Why?  Because Obama, in a move coldly calculated to increase his ratings in the polls and help his re-election bid at the cost of Iraq’s new government and the lives of American service men who died there, … rushed to bring the “troops home for Christmas.”   Of course, the liberal spin doctors and their media lackeys are proclaiming it a U.S. victory and praising Obama for his courage and leadership.  A whole slew of pompous ceremonies have been planned to celebrate the “end” of the war.

In a calculated, twisted sort of way, it was a brilliant political move.  I mean, everyone wants the troops home … don’t they!  But I predict that the premature withdrawal of American forces from Iraq will lead to many, many more deaths and much more destruction down the road.  Just wait and see …

You know, I really do like a lot of what Ron Paul says when it comes to the U.S. Constitution, our government, spending,  and capitalism; but then he always has to go and blow it … with his fantasy world views on foreign policy and national defense.

I am sorry … but Anwar al-Awlaki gave up his American citizenship when he chose to become a terrorist and commit the worst kind of treason … plotting the death of thousands of American citizens.

Are we supposed to risk the lives of a dozen or so Navy SEALS to try to capture this piece of crap, just so some terrorist friendly lawyer can make a few million dollars defending him in some terrorist friendly Court … like maybe the 9th Circuit Court in California?  If an armed drone can end his threat to our nation and its citizen’s safety without needlessly risking the lives of our soldiers …  then so be it … al-Awlaki gets a “drone enema.”

Maybe if Anwar al -Awlaki was living in say Boston or San Francisco … it would be different; and we could arrest him without launching a major military offensive.  Then by all means: liberals could read him his Miranda rights, and try him.  Then then Ninth Circuit Court could make a hero out of him and slap his wrist.  But that fact is that  al-Awlaki is (or excuse me … was) in Yemen.  And … there is the real world/ fantasy difference folks!

Speaking of California, the left-wing loonies in charge of that once great state are at it again.  The state is already bankrupt and want to cut medicare payments to save money, but at the same time … they are going to pay $10,000 to each trucker in California (or who drives into California) to aid them in changing out a perfectly good diesel engine that meets federal emissions standards for a new “California-friendly” diesel engine that meets their state’s special emission standards.  One owner of a small trucking business in Minnesota had to shell out over $40,000 to change out perfectly good diesel engines in his trucks just so he could deliver loads to California.  Hmmm … $40,00 … wouldn’t that have been just about enough to put another American to work?  Sheer California madness!  We should just let that state regulate itself out of existence …

83% of Knoxville Voters Do Not Vote Yesterday

Knoxville held an election yesterday!   Hello!  83% of you did not vote!  This is part of what is so wrong with America today. Your vote does count! Madeline Rogero lacked 15 (Yep … 15!) votes of having a clear victory … Knoxville is headed for a runoff election.

You cannot help fix things if you do not get off your butts and vote.  Obama hopes you will stay home in November 2012.  As a nation, we simply cannot afford that … we cannot afford voter apathy!  Too much is at stake.

Are you going to fight for your country and exercise the RIGHT that literally thousands of Americans before us died to protect … or are you going to apathetically fritter away all your rights and responsibilities as a free Americans?

Campaign 2012: Obama’s Fuzzy Math and Racism?

Obama strikes again … positioning himself as the proud defender of the American middle class. 

“Either we ask the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share in taxes or we’re going to have to ask seniors to pay more for Medicare. We can’t afford to do both. This is not class warfare, its math,” Obama stated to a cheering audience of cool aid drinking Obama-zombies.

“If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a teacher makes me a warrior for the middle class, I wear it as a badge of honor,” Obama proudly exclaimed!

Just the kind of words you would expect to send a shiver up the legs of eat-the-rich progressive-liberals who can’t wait to line up for their “free Obama money!” Sounds to me like he is working up to admitting he is a socialist.  Maybe that will be in next week’s speech.

If what Obama is doing is not waging class warfare on higher earning Americans to win the votes of lazy socialist-minded welfare recipients, and if it is indeed just “math;” it is the fuzziest math I have ever seen.  In fact … it is an outright lie. But then, Obama has never been one to let the truth get in the way of a good story!

Obama is basically saying that instead of having a spending problem, America has a revenue problem. This could not be further from the truth.  The Obama administration’s spending frenzy is unsustainable.  In fact, do you remember when Obama stated that the current deficit spending is “unsustainable.”

“We can’t keep on just borrowing from China,” Obama said in May of 2009 at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. “We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children’s future with more and more debt.”

I guess the wind must have changed, because now Obama, master of the “blame-everyone-but-me”  game, is now trying to blame the “wealthiest Americans” for America’s economic woes.  Of course, this is exactly what SEIU, ACORN, and Vote smart-minded  people hear! It is definitely class warfare and one of Obama’s re-election strategies it to divide, create mode discord, and conquer. The truth is, however, it is simply re-election campaign rhetoric, it is dishonest, and it is definitely un-presidential.

It is time for Americans to stand up and demand to know what he means by “pay their fair share.”  Obama keeps using the phrase “millionaires and billionaires” in his campaign speeches.  This is part of his fuzzy new math … that defines anyone who earns $200,000 and more as a “millionaire and billionaire.” How does earning $200,000 equate to being a millionaire?  The NEA and local teacher’s unions (strong Obama supporters all) have been trying to teach this “math” in our public schools for years

How does Obama define “fair share.” Real math shows that “wealthiest Americans” pay the majority of federal income taxes, while the only group not paying its “fair share” is the 47 percent of wage earners in this country who pay no federal income tax at all.  Again … sounds like class warfare to me!

There is nothing stopping Obama’s good friend, Warren Buffet from paying more taxes. Obama said in hs jobs speech that Warren Buffet told him that he felt he should pay more taxes because he is wealthy and can afford to.  Why then is Mr. Buffet fighting against paying $1 billion in the back taxes he owes.  He should happily pay that and more!

Obama assumes that, we fly over Americans (because we do not live in New England or California), are too stupid to do the math.  Obama tells us that if we just raise the taxes on “wealthy Americans,” the deficit problem will go away.  This is simply not true and another example of Obama’s fuzzy math.  Several independent researchers have done real number crunching (you know, the kind of math schools taught before our public schools became progressive-liberal ”brainwashing programs”  and the NEA began to re-write American history and develop curriculums based on political correctness). 

The truth is that  if the government actually confiscated 100 % of all income over $200,000 per year, the federal government would gain about $221 billion!  So …  if Obama were to actually be honest with his voters … this “revenue enhancement” would not even cover the $714 billion he spent on anti-poverty programs last year; never mind cover Obama’s increased spending for his American Jobs Act!

What Obama is really trying to do is to frame the 2012 election around race.  If he can convince enough black and hispanic voters who are now upset with his performance that the Tea Party is racist, then he may have a chance at being re-elected in 2012.   This is what Obama is secretly and desperately trying to do … and he has help from people I never would he suspected. 

Morgan  Freeman, a man I once respected as a man and an actor (I loved his roles in Invictus and Million Dollar Baby … among others) accused the Tea party of being racist in an interview on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight saying,

“Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term. What underlines that? ‘Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we can to get this black man outta here.”

No Mr. Freeman.  You are dead wrong.  It is not that “We’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.” Are there racists in this country?  Of course there are!  On both sides.  I would argue that anyone who wants to keep Obama in office just because he is black, and ignores the fact his is destroying our country … is a racist!  But that is not what this is about! 

It is the fact that Obama (whether he is black, white, bi-racial, or pink with purple polka dots) is destroying this country!  His Soros-orchestrated policies are leading American down the same failed path that has already destroyed most of western culture … the path to big government with its sluggish bureaucratic centralized control, out-of-control spending, and unsustainable social welfare programs; that (while popular with 3rd and 4th generation welfare recipients and those with socialist or communist leanings) will lead this country to bankruptcy … just like it has Greece and most other EU member nations.

In case Morgan Freeman hasn’t noticed, Herman Cain is black … and a doing very well in Tea Party circles.  I guess he would call Allen West, Marco Rubio, Alan Keyes, Nikki Haley, Susana Martinez, James White, and Stefani Carter racist!

 I really like Herman Cain’s comments on Morgan Freeman’s “the Tea Party is racist” statement:

“Well, first of all, I doubt if Morgan Freeman, with all due respect, who is a great actor, has ever been to a Tea Party,” Cain said. “Most of the people that are criticizing the Tea Parties … about having a racist element, they have never been to a Tea Party.”

Cain, whose campaign is doing very well after winning the Florida straw poll, was quick to say that he was not offended by the Freeman’s remarks:

“I just think that it is sad that they’re so short-sighted in really understanding what the whole Tea Party citizen movement is all about,” he continued. “I’m not offended by it, because it doesn’t slow down my momentum. It doesn’t slow down the reaction that I get from people.”

“So, name-calling is something that’s going to continue in this, because they don’t know how to stop this movement. And this movement is making a big difference in politics, because a lot of the traditional Democrats are moving to the center or moving over to vote for conservatives. They’re taking another look at a Herman Cain.”

What scares Obama’s campaign so much is that they do not know how to stop the Tea Party movement!  Normally, progressive-liberals would just buy them off.  That is how, as van Jones said, the communists bought the Democratic party.  In the past, they would  just pass some massive pork spending bill and slip the money out the back door to pay off the trouble makers … and the problem goes away. 

This tactic will not work on the Tea Party because the Tea Party is made up of American heartland-type Americans, including Republicans and Democrats, Blacks, Whites, and Hispanics.  Tea Party members want to end just that kind of corrupt, Chicago-style, backroom deal making;  and to get back to ideas like being proud to be an American, having a balanced budget, fiscal responsibility the federal government level, and yes … individual responsibility.

Progressive-liberals simply do not understand that kind of thinking.  They kneel at the altar of big government and are petrified of the idea of Americans thinking for themselves and making decision without out their “guidance.”  They have no choice but to resort to scare tactics and name calling.  And … as November 2012 approaches it will get much worse!!

Despite what Morgan Freeman says, Obama’s re-election is a clear and present danger to this country’s future as the last standing bastion for individual freedom and liberty.  Racism does not enter into the equation. It is a sad commentary on how far this country has fallen from the greatness our ancestors fought and struggled for, but the sad truth is that if enough voters are more motivated by the selfish entitlement mentality fostered by progressive-liberal’s over the last several decades, than by what is truly best for America and the majority of patriotic Americans living here, he can be re-elected.  It is time for the silent majority to no longer be silent.  It is time for conservatives to go against the nature and stand up and be heard … loudly and forcefully.

Addressing Illegal Immigration

Illegal immigration is a real problem for this country,  and not only for out-of-work Americans.  Our southern borders are turning into war zones with drug smugglers, gun smugglers, and human traffickers having free rein while Obama‘s administration and Janet Napolitano‘s Department of Homeland Security do nothing and tell us “its’ ok … don’t worry … be happy!”

Trafficking in illegal aliens is also a danger to the illegal aliens themselves. Many illegal aliens from Mexico, South America, China,  and other nations are transported here under unhealthy, even dangerous conditions.  They have no real means of supporting themselves and put a real strain on America’s already dangerously strained economy by using tax payer provided services without paying any taxes.

Do I hate immigrants?  Of course not.  Most of us are descendants of immigrants.  But our descendants immigrated legally.  They came through Ellis Island or other immigrant entry ports. They came here to build something, to join a dream!  They fought to earn their place in society and helped to build a great nation.

I have nothing against legal immigrants.  I am not for punishing the children of illegal immigrants for the crimes of their parents.  However, amnesty just rewards law breakers (and gives Obama an instant ACORN friendly voter block).  Governor Perry’s providing education to children of illegal immigrants is a way to get them off the welfare rolls and turn them into productive members of society … rather than have them join gangs or vote in Obama’s (and other progressive-liberals) illegal alien voter blocks; is his way of dealing with a real problem!  At least Perry is doing something!  Like Sheriff Joe Arpaio is doing something.  Obama’s administration is doing nothing … except perhaps selling guns to the Mexican Mafia (see “Operation Fast and Furious”)!   Is Perry’s solution perfect… of course not.  What solution ever is?

Do we need to stop the flood of illegal immigrants across our borders?  Of course we do!  Can we “pack up” all the illegals we currently have and ship them back?  Probably not.  Should there be some sort of  path toward citizenship for them?  Maybe so!  But not in front of, or at the expense of, those trying to immigrate legally!   Do we need to look at existing immigration laws and discuss possible streamlining, simplifying, or other changes? Probably so!

I think the discussion of the immigration issue and how to address  related concerns needs to open and frank; with all relevent points considered!  Not all would agree it seems!

An article on The Blaze reports that on Tuesday, the San Antonio Tea Party was part of a panel discussion supported by a local public radio station: 89.1 KSTX.   The topic of discussion was the DREAM Act and the problem of illegal immigration. 

Jonathon Bryant, a Government Studies teacher from John F. Kennedy High School attended the event along with some of his students (who, according to Bryant, may be illegals).  Mr. Bryant asked a question of the panel about students that were illegal aliens and what should be done with them.  After the president of the group affirmed his support for the laws governing illegal aliens in the schools, Mr. Bryant just couldn’t contain himself. He decided to levy the “Nazi” charge. 

So this is what are teachers are teaching in our schools.  Anyone with a view opposing the progressive-liberal agenda or supporting the laws of our nation is a “nazi.”   Just another example of the intolerance of “progressive-liberal tolerance.”

How About ZEG (Zero Economic Growth), Instead Of GNP?

Sometimes I almost feel sorry for Barack Obama.  Almost!  But then I remember his lies, his radical anti-American political beliefs, and his arrogance … and I wake up.  Obama, because of his radical left-wing, ideologically driven belief system …  truly came to believe he was the “Anointed One;” destined to transform America into a Soros-envisioned model of a global-elitist led utopia .  Fortunately, at least for true conservative, patriotic Americans, Obama truly is in way over his head and really does not have a clue about what he is doing. 

Some of us thinking Americans, who actually did a little pre-2008 election candidate research into Obama’s true history and experience… and did not just swallow the drive-by media’s gushingly, pro-Obama campaign efforts hook, line and sinker, are not surprised.  I still remember waking up the morning after Obama’s election in a state of shock over American voter gullibility and the level to which progressive-liberals will sink to achieve their nefarious political goals.

Think about the facts about Obama’s education, work history, his chosen mentors, and associates:

  • Obama served two years in the U.S. Senate where he simply voted “present” on most legislation being considered by the senate. He was essentially a junior senator with no real federal government experience when he began campaigning for president.
  • Before being elected to the Senate, Obama lost a run for the U.S. House of Representatives and served seven years part-time in the Illinois state Senate. Chicago is famous for its corrupt, back-room deal, politics and being the home of many left-wing political leaders.
  • He made one stirring keynote address at the Democratic National Convention and wrote two autobiographical books, which if you actually read, gave a clear picture of his radical thought processes and anti-American beliefs.
  • Obama held a low-paying job as a community organizer which I think he was probably very good at. However, though well-suited for someone with radical, left-wing beliefs, it was not exactly a high-stress, decision-under-pressure, economically and politically astute decisions that affect the world kind of job.
  • He did worked 11-years as a civil rights attorney with a left-wing leaning law firm. He must have felt out-of-place there, because, civil rights are essentially a list of things the government is NOT ALLOWED TO DO, and Obama wants our government to do everything.
  • Contrary to his claims on the campaign trail, Obama was not a law professor. He was a senior lecturer at the University of Chicago. While a senior lecturer is certainly an esteemed position and due its respect, he was not a tenured professor.
  • He did manage to get caught up in a real estate scandal with a well-known Illinois political “fixer” Antoin “Tony” Rezko who is under active federal investigation.  I guess that counts.

Not a real impressive resume for being president.  Obama did have charisma  … so people liked him and began to talk about him.  He was very smooth; and good at testing the wind and saying what people wanted to hear.  He was even smooth enough that many people ignored his radical views and associations.  But is it really any surprise his policies do not work … look at who he admired and looked to for guidance.  Here are just a few:

  • Saul Alinski: Alinski, considered the father of modern community organization, was a communist organizer and author from Chicago. While Obama plays down Alinski’s  ”influence” on his political views and tactics; Saul Alinski’s son, L. David Alinski, says Obama certainly learned his lessons well.  Actions really do speak louder than words, and despite what Obama says in public, many of the political strategies he uses come right out of Saul Alinski’s book, Rules for Radicals.
  • Cass Sunstein: One of Obama’s closest confidants and the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Sunstein is an animal rights activist/social engineer who wants to set up legal “rights” for livestock, wildlife, and pets enabling them to file lawsuits in American courts.  Sunstein is also a strong opponent of freedom of speech and in a paper he co-wrote in 2008 proposed, “that the U.S. Government employs teams of covert agents and pseudo-”independent” advocates to “cognitively infiltrate” online groups and websites , as well as other activist groups, which advocate views that Sunstein deems “false conspiracy theories” about the Government. 
  • Samantha Power:  Power, a member of Obama’s National Security Council, is an ideologue who believes America should subordinate its sovereignty to that of the incompetent, anti-American, anti-Israel, marxist-inspired, world-government-loving United Nations.
  • John Holden: Obama’s science advisor, Holden is another close confident with rather extreme views like instituting compulsory birth control, creating an armed  international organization to enforce order worldwide, and instituting a “planetary regime” to “control the development, administration, conservation, and distribution of natural resources” in addition to “regulating all international trade.”  Then there is Ecoscience, which calls for severe limitations on economic growth (hmmm … kind of like Obama’s economic policies!).  According to Ecoscience proponents, “It is by now abundantly clear that the GNP cannot grow forever.  Why should it?  Why should we not strive for zero economic growth (ZEG) as well as zero population growth.”

When George Soros discovered Obama, his clever charm,  and his ability to organize the radical fringe of society, he knew he had found his boy!  Soros paraded his “figure-head” out for all to see and the progressive-liberal run drive-by media all felt “shivers” run up their collective legs.   And …  boy did they really do a bang up job on him … setting him up for the fall by portraying Obama as a all-knowing man of the people; a “messiah-like” savior of the country, who would right all wrongs and create a new utopian America; a land of milk and honey for all who wish to suckle at the government teat.  The same left-wing liberal media that has so quickly turned on him … set him up for this fall!   I mean, come on folks, there were even references to a “black Jesus” floating around out there in certain corners of liberal-media-land.  But that is how progressive-liberals work … no loyalty, no sticking to principles, no intellectual honesty; just stick a finger in the wind to see which way it is blowing … and quickly jump on board!

The real problem for Obama was that he actually  began to believe the left-wing media’s Obama love-fest as well as  his own campaign team’s election hype.  He really began to think that just by “uttering the words” he could change the world.  His smile and charm would simply usher in a new era of global compromise; terrorists would simply lay down their arms and sing “kumbaya” with their newly enlightened American progressive-liberal friends, and the wealthy would happily allow his administration to “steal” the money they worked so hard for with their “eat-the-rich” policies … and “redistribute” it to his supporters. 

Obama could apologize to the world for American exceptionalism, for saving France’s ass in, not one but two, two  world wars, for American “misunderstanding of radical Islam and its barbaric “eye-for-an-eye mentality, for defending Muslims in the Balkans, for defending freedom on a global scale, and for protecting the interests of its citizens.  Obama just knew that if he did this, the socialist, communist, and Islāmic nations of the world would knowingly smile on us and all would be well. 

Obama could then remake America in their images … bankrupt, unstable, miserable. equally poor citizens living “by the leave” of the new Obama-led American aristocracy of progressive-liberal elitists; subservient to the government … but culturally enlightened!  Oh how happy we all would be!  He could bow to communist dictators and Arab Sheiks, sit a the table of discussion with no “preconditions” with both terrorists and dictators … and all our enemies would swoon with a “new-found respect” for American weakness.

In a well-orchestrated visual extravaganza, Obama descended from the “Temple” to accept his party’s nomination, his teleprompter led him through one finely crafted speech after another, designed to appeal to “group-think” American “sheeple” and to spur the left-wing radical fringe on to still greater endeavors. 

ACORN, the National Lawyers Guild, CAIR, America Votes, the SEIU, the Apollo Alliance, and the Black Panthers …  supported by the Tides Foundation, the Heinz Endowment, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, George Soros, and other “limousine liberals” … all working in “goose-step-like” harmony to install the “Chosen One” as their new leader; the new first black, authoritarian, progressive-liberal, elitist president of the United Socialist States of America.

Conservative, hard-working, patriotic Americans had jsut better watch their step! People who already pay no taxes, and who feel no shame for stealing the hard-earned fruits of someone else’s labors in the name of some subjective version of “utopian fairness” are lined up for their “free Obama money.”  “Useful idiots” will now ”spy” on their fellow Americans and dutifully report any racial, anti-Obama dissenters through the  ”Obama eSnitch programme;”  have their eyes open … big brother is truly now watching! 

Free health care, free food, free housing, free cars, free green energy, free everything … all paid for by increasing the taxes on the evil rich bastards (who though they pay 90% of all the taxes … still do not pay their fair share).  Those evil rich bastards … who not only had the “audacity of  hope;” but also had the audacity to actually learn, to struggle,  to work hard, to scrimp and save, to invest smartly, and succeed in life … how dare they do well for themselves.  By God, the nerve of those successful Americans … Obama, the ”Anointed one,” will punish them for their success!  American is no longer the land of ”equal opportunity!”  No siree bob!  It is now the land of  ”equality result.”  Equal mediocrity for all!  That is the neo-American dream!!!

 But then … oh crap … enter reality!  Most Americans do still think people should actually earn their money.  Most Americans understand that nothing is really free.  Most Americans actually believe America is a great nation and worth defending from all enemies … both foreign and DOMESTIC. 

Now A News Flash:  Former President Bill Clinton tells NewsMax that Washington should not raise taxes … and that Obama’s plan to increase taxes on the wealthy won’t solve the debt problem.  

How long do you think it will take for progressive-liberals to turn on former President, Bill Clinton, the real first black president?
